Feed Safety Policy
Budi Feed Sdn. Bhd ensure feeds produced are safe for animal consumption. The top management has established the following policy to meet the set product safety. Thus, the feed safety policy of the company is as below:
“To produce and supply feed that’s safe for animal consumption.”
It is to be achieved by committed to:
- Ensure to compliance to relevant HACCP and GMP+ documents and requirements.
- Ensure feed safety policy fits the context and objectives of the company.
- Define and evaluate the objectives of the Feed Safety Management System.
- Have the suitable internal and external communications related to Feed Safety Management System, and available to interested parties.
- Have continuous improvement to the Feed Safety Management System and the necessary feed safety knowledge.
Feed safety objectives
Are set to be in line with the feed safety policy and applicable legal requirements, maintained and revised as appropriate, and to be in charged by different roles/ departments of the company. Thus, the feed safety objectives of the company is as below:

The Feed Safety Management System of Budi Feed Sdn Bhd is built and structured based on HACCP Codex and GMP+ documents and requirements, and applied on its products and production lines.
Therefore, the Feed Safety Management System is applied in the manufacturing site located in:
Budi Feed Sdn Bhd, Lot 11940, Jalan Perajurit 1, Off Jalan Perajurit Kampung Tengah, Telok Gong, 42000 Port Klang, Selangor, Malaysia.
- The Feed Safety Management System is applied on the following:
Manufacturing of animal feed product(s), which includes: Calcium Salts (Powder and Granular)
The processes and activities involved in the scope of the feed safety management system in Budi Feed Sdn Bhd is as below:
- Receiving and storage of the raw materials and packaging materials for animal feed product(s).
- Preparing, weighing, dozing, blending, filtering, holding, homogenizing, reacting, drying, cutting, cooling, discharging, metal detecting, crushing, sieving, magnet checking.
- Labelling, sealing and packing of the animal feed product(s).
- Storage and delivery/shipping of the animal feed product(s).
Legal compliance with the relevant feed legislation requirements is required. Appliable feed legislations requirement to be fulfilled by Budi Feed Sdn Bhd are as below:
- All applicable feed legislations in Malaysa.
- All applicable feed legislations of the countries where the products are to be marketed.
- Relevant sections of the GMP+ and HACCP Codex standards.

Budi Feed, manufacturer of Calcium Salts, recognizes the need to ensure responsible sourcing of raw materials in the production its products. As such, Budi Feed’s current palm oil based feedstock (PFAD) is sourced from refineries based in peninsular Malaysia. This feedstock is produced as a by-product of the refining process of crude palm oil from within the conventional supply chain. Current market conditions support the regional procurement of crude palm oil by the refiners in peninsular Malaysia, where the vast majority of the oil palm plantations are mature and are not contributing to de-forestation in the region.
Budi Feed is developing a supply chain specific strategy for responsible sourcing to ensure that its activities and products do not contribute to de-forestation and environmental degradation.
Budi Feed will demonstrate its commitment to responsible sourcing through:
- The development and implementation of a Responsible Sourcing Guideline for Palm Based Feedstock based on the following general provisions. Budi Feed with ensure that all its raw materials sources:
- Have not led to deforestation: Budi Feed will ensure that its products are sourced from land that has not been converted from natural forest to a plantation or other land use.
- Have not led to the loss of High Conservation Values: Budi Feed will ensure that products are sourced in a manner that maintains or enhances high conservation values in the surrounding landscape.
- Have been produced in compliance with Budi Feed’s Business Principles and The Budi Feed Supplier Code
- Supplier engagement, assessment, action plans and monitoring
- Time bound plan to source only from suppliers that meet the Responsible Sourcing Guideline for Palm Based Feedstock by 2020
